The LEGO Millennium Falcon was officially announced

The last day of August marks the Day LEGO announced the biggest and most expensive LEGO set until date. It celebrates the 40 years of the first Star Wars movie and the 10 Years of the first Millennium Falcon UCS.

It’s a monster! 8” (21cm) high, 33” (84cm) long and 22” (56cm) wide with a total of 7541 pieces and the cost of 799,00 €/$799.99/£649.99.

Instead of describing all the features, I’ll let the LEGO experts explain all of them in this short video made to show off this amazing set.

It will be available on 1 October 2017. I believe most LEGO fans can’t wait to get their hands on this magnificent set (at least I can’t)!

But i’m sure that most of them are thinking the same: “Where the hell will I put it!”. I have the same problem! Enjoy!

Lego Mystery Set

Lego just teased on twitter a set 4.86 times bigger than the London bus.

This means that this new set has about 8193 pieces!!! Can it be the new Millennium Falcon? Most of the web thinks so!

It would make sense, because there were rumour that the expected price of this new Millennium Falcon would be around $700. so $700 for 8193 would elevate this set to the biggest and most expensive set yet!!!!

Can wait to find out!

The next LEGO Shop gifts

LEGO Shop is known for giving a lot of interesting polybags with purchases over a certain value. Also in some exclusive Events (like SDCC) we might see some of the below being given.

And here are the next giveaways:

40173 The Scarif Stormtrooper

The rumours say it is going to be given in the force friday in September.

/40177 LEGO City Jungle Polybag

A new polybag featuring the new LEGO City jungle line.

5004394 LEGO Ninjago Movie Polybag

This does not look like a norma polybag. It seems to be a scenario so you can take pictures of Ninjago Characters like they were in the movie.

5004914 LEGO Nexo Knights Armor Pod

LEGO is really into the Pod business now. This is one more example of that.

5004915 LEGO Ninjago-Movie-Wu-Key-Chain

One more promo from the Ninjago movie. This time featuring Marter Wu in a keychain.

5004916 LEGO Ninjago Movie Kai’s Dojo Pod

5004920 LEGO Friends Ski Pod

The last Pod in this list. This time a LEGO Friends one.

This is probably one of the Christmas giveaway. An ornament for your christmas tree

The new Star Wars Jedi Starfighter

In the not so distant year of 2010, LEGO launched an UCS set of Obi-Wan’s Jedi Starfighter.

It was a beautiful and huge set. But now LEGO decided to launch a new version of it, a smaller one with a new accessory: the Hyperspace Ring. Yes, that huge ring is what allowed the Jedi Starfighters to travel through hyperspace.

I have to say that the set is not amazing although it seems to be have a lot of parts set, specially in the ring. It’s a really good piece for the ones that collect Star Wars fighters because there are not many versions of Star Wars fighters with an Hyperspace ring (to my knowledge, only 1 released in 2007, a blue Jedi Starfighter of episode 3 also piloted by Obi Wan).

Although the fighter is not the most beautiful made, the minifigures that this set brings are awesome. Jango Fett, young Boba Fett, Obi Wan and R4-P17.

Jango only had 1 version in the past (in set 75015, Corporate Alliance Tank Droid).

Young Boba Fett, although has many versions as an adult, only has 2 has a child (one in 2013 advent calendar and another in 7153: Jango Fett’s Slave I of 2002).

R4-P17 has 2 versions of it: 1 in the small set 75006 Jedi Starfighter & Planet Kamino and in the 75135 Obi-Wan’s Jedi Interceptor released in 2016.

Finally Obi Wan has already 28 minifigures so probably this new minifigure will not bring anything new.

Rumours say it will be released in May and will cost $129.

A really nice set for the ones that collect Star Wars Starfighter. One thing is certain: It will be a very nice build!

LEGO Technic X-Wing

Browsing through Eurobricks just found an amazing build. The user drakmin from Finland is building an amazing X-Wing using technic parts.

It is still work in progress but, from what we can see by the pictures above, the end result will be fantastic.

Check out the thread on Eurobricks forum where drakmin shares the status of the build.

Will Millennium Falcon become a reality?

The LEGO Millennium Falcon UCS is one of the most fantastic sets ever created by LEGO. It was a 5197 pieces that contained 5 minifigures: Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader.

Now the eurobricks user Stash2Sixx, one of the Star Wars Moderator, stated that the set will probably become a reality in October costing around $600 and bringing 8 minifigures:

  • Hoth Leia
  • Hoth Han
  • Chewbacca
  • Mynock
  • Finn
  • Rey
  • BB8
  • Old Han Solo

This would mean that LEGO will join the old and the new crew in one unique set. This could probably mean the this version of the Falcon will be the one of episode VII.

What do you think? Would you like to get your hands into the most iconic ship in the Star Wars universe?

Star Wars Celebration Orlando LEGO exclusive set

One of the things that LEGO is used to do is give special collectible items at geek events. Comic Con is the most common example. Several of the most expensive minifigures out there were given at a Comic Con.

This time LEGO has created an exclusive set that will be available at the Star Wars Celebration at Orlando next week. The set is called Detention Block Rescue and is a representation of the famous scene of episode IV featuring Han Solo and Luke Skywalker. Only Chewie is missing. It even has an exclusive number: CELEB2017-1 which means that can probably be others during this year.

But this time LEGO made something different. This time will not give the set. The set will be available at the LEGO store on site and you’ll have to enter a raffle to have the opportunity to acquire it. The cost will be $40.

So if you are lucky enough to be present at Star Wars Celebration next week be sure to enter this raffle to have the change to adquire this exclusive set. Unfortunatly for me, i’ll be to far away to participate so I’ll probably will not have access to this exclusive. I bet that a day after the Celebration event the set will be on sale at ebay for 10 times its price… We, this is how LEGO works this days…

LEGO 75144 SnowSpeeder Ultimate Collectors Edition

Lego just release earlier this week images of its latest UCS Ship, the insane 75144 SnowSpeeder.

This is a 1703 pieces replica of the ship we can see in the beginning of episode V.

Besides the ship, this set offers 2 exclusive minifigures: a Snowspeeder Pilot and a SnowSpeeder Gunner. They are exclusive because they have unique printings in the arms and new helmets. Unfortunately this is not Luke Skywalker’s Snowspeeder.

As usual, LEGO as done a small video with 2 of the creator, Bjorn and Tom, that explain all the features of this awesome set.

This set will be available on Star Wars Day, the 4th of May and can already be seen at the LEGO Shop here. There we can read the official description:

Collect a true Star Wars classic: the T-47 Snowspeeder. This LEGO® interpretation of the iconic airspeeder that fans will remember from Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back has all the details you’d expect, including opening airbrakes, rotating rear gun, and an opening cockpit with space for the included Rebel Snowspeeder Pilot and Rebel Snowspeeder Gunner minifigures. This model also comes with a display stand and fact plaque, so it can take pride of place in any LEGO Star Wars collection.

  • Includes 2 minifigures: a Rebel Snowspeeder Pilot and a Rebel Snowspeeder Gunner.
  • Features intricate, authentic detailing, opening airbrakes, rotating rear gun and an opening cockpit with space for the 2 included minifigures.
  • Attach the Snowspeeder to the stand with fact plaque to display it.
  • Impress your friends with this amazing recreation of a classic Star Wars Snowspeeder.
